The Miracles of Jesus
“This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.”
Foundational teaching
The miracles of Jesus are signs of His divine power and authority. From healing the sick to calming storms, each one showed God's kingdom breaking into the human world. They were never mere displays of power; they were invitations to deeper faith in Jesus as Lord over all creation.
What this means for you
Miracles point beyond themselves to the character of Jesus: compassionate, powerful, and worth trusting. Scripture does not promise that God will always act in the way we ask or expect, and faith is not a technique for guaranteeing outcomes. What we can be certain of is that nothing lies outside His authority, and He is good.
