The Role of Faith and Works
“So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
Foundational teaching
Faith and works belong together, but they do not do the same job. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone. Good works are never another way to earn salvation. Instead, good works are the visible result and sign of real faith. They flow naturally out of a heart God has changed. A faith that produces no love, obedience, or service shows no sign of being alive.
What this means for you
Nothing you do adds to what Jesus has already finished. And yet real faith always shows. If you find your life beginning to change — more patience, more generosity, more honesty — that is not you earning God's favor; it is evidence that God is at work in you.

Do one quiet act of service today that no one will notice, as a response to grace rather than a bid for approval.
Guided prayer
Lord, thank You that I am saved by Your grace and not by my record. Let my life bear the fruit of genuine faith, so that what I do points back to what You have done. Amen.
